The Alinde Quartet, named after the Schubert song of the same name, enjoys an international reputation for its versatile repertoire and successful combination of tradition and innovation. This string ensemble’s repertoire ranges from Renaissance works to Romantic string quartets and contemporary commissions. Its artistic diversity and subtle interpretations have already taken the quartet to the world’s most important stages, including the Berlin Philharmonie, the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, the Konzerthaus Berlin and renowned festivals such as the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival and the Verbier Festival. The Alinde Quartet is currently the Köln Philharmonie’s ›portrait artist‹.
The Alinde Quartet is also passionately dedicated to the next generation’s musical education. With interactive formats, school projects or family concerts at renowned venues such as the Festspielhaus Baden-Baden or the Beethovenfest Bonn, It creates inspiring musical experiences that inspire and leave a lasting impression on young audiences. The quartet also focuses on the music of Franz Schubert and contemporary music inspired by him. Before Schubert’s anniversary year of 2028, the ensemble will release an innovative complete recording of Schubert’s quartets, paired with specially commissioned works by leading composers of our time.
