キム・ボムソリ

»This violinist can do anything: with virtuosity, presence, clarity and a warm, full tone, Bomsori knows how to make every moment her own«, writes ›Crescendo Magazin‹ about the South Korean-born violinist. Having studied at Seoul National University and the Juilliard School in New York, she has long been celebrated internationally and shines in the great concert halls as well as at festivals worldwide. Highlights of the current season include tours with the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra and Jakub Hrůša in Germany and Asia, a return to Carnegie Hall with Jaap van Zweden and the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra, and a return to Vienna with the Wiener Symphoniker.

Most recently, Bomsori made her debut at the BBC Proms with the BBC Philharmonic, at the Hollywood Bowl with the Los Angeles Philharmonic and toured with Paavo Järvi and the Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich, to name just a few highlights of recent seasons. In 2021, this violinist was a Focus Artist at the Rheingau Music Festival and began a five-year residency at the Gstaad Menuhin Festival as a Menuhin’s Heritage Artist. Her discography, including recordings for Deutsche Grammophon, is extensive. Her latest recording of Carl Nielsen’s Violin Concerto with Fabio Luisi and the Danish National Symphony Orchestra was awarded the 2024 BBC Music Magazine Award. Bomsori plays the 1725 Guarnerius del Gesù ›ex-Moller‹ violin on generous loan from the Samsung Foundation of Culture and the Stradivari Society of Chicago.
