It was a stroke of luck that this Finnish multi talent gave his German debut in June with the Deutsche Kammer­philharmonie Bremen, the orchestra’s musical quality and precision created the perfect conditions for a collaboration with this extraordinary young talent, after which followed and entire series of return appearances. In February 2022 Tarmo Peltokoski was appointed ›Principal Guest Conductor‹ of the Kammer­philharmonie – the first time that this orchestra has bestowed the title in its 42-year history. In the 2021/22 season, Peltokosky gave his Berlin debut with the Orchester der Komischen Oper, the hr-Sinfonieorchester. Further debuts are expected at the Rheingau Festival, the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, also with the Köln Philharmonie, the Sinfonieorchester Basel, the Rundfunk Sinfonieorchester Berlin, the Orchestre National du Caiptole de Toulouse and at the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg.

At the age of just 14, this diverse musician began studying with the retired professor Jorma Panula. He is currently studying at the Sibelius Academy with Sakari Oramo, where he has also taken lessons with Hannu Lintu and Jukka-Pekka Saraste as well as piano lessons with Antti Hotti for, in addition to being a conductor, this 21-year-old Finn is also a celebrated pianist who has won several competitions. He has performed as soloist with all the celebrated Finnish orchestras and in 2018 was named
›Junger Musiker des Jahres‹ by the Pro Musica Foundation. Parallel to his conducting and piano studies, Tarmo Peltokoski also studied composition and arranging.

The much-celebrated soprano Chen Reiss enchants audiences with »a voice of silver brightness and clarity« (Bachtrack), »an enticing tone« and »superb musicianship« (Opera News).

This Israeli-born singer began her career with Zubin Mehta at the Bayerischen Staatsoper Munich and has since enjoyed numerous engagements with well-known opera houses such as the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, the Teatro alla Scala and at the Israeli Opera. As a resident artist, she has also worked closely with the Wiener Staatsoper for several years.

Chen Reiss appears frequently as a recital singer and also as a guest performer at international festivals – from the BBC Proms to the Salzburg Festival, the Rheingau Festival and the Lucerne Festival. She has worked with many major orchestras such as the Wiener Philharmoniker, the Münchner Philharmoniker, the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra and the Rundfunk Sinfonieorchester Berlin, as well as with distinguished conductors such as Daniel Barenboim, Christoph Eschenbach, Daniele Gatti, Vladimir Jurowski, plus many others. Chen Reiss was invited to sing at the 2014 Christmas Mass for Pope Francis. In addition, this singer has a comprehensive discography including CDs and DVDs of Fauré’s ›Requiem‹ with Paavo Järvi and the Orchestre de Paris and Mahler’s Symphony No. 2 with Gustavo Dudamel and the Münchner Philharmoniker. She recently released her latest album of songs by Fanny Mendelssohn (Onyx). She also features on the soundtrack to Tom Tykwers film ›Das Parfum‹ accompanied by Sir Simon Rattle and the Berliner Philharmoniker.

トゥオマス・カタヤラ

This Finnish singer is one of the most versatile and sought-after Scandinavian tenors who has been equally successful on the opera stage as he has in the recital hall. He has enjoyed a close cooperation with the Finnish National Opera in Helsinki for many years, as well as with the Savonlinna Opera Festival. Last season he also had engagements at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, at the Staatsoper Unter den Linden Berlin, the Opera National du Rhin, the Opera de Lille and the Seattle Opera.

Tuomas Katajala also has an extensive recital and oratorio repertoire, which he has performed at international venues with distinguished conductors such as Vladimir Ashkenazy, Kent Nagano, Esa-Pekka Salonen, Susanna Mälkki and Hannu Lintu.

This season, Tuomas Katajala will again be on the international stage, including as ›Loge‹ in a concertante version of ›Rheingold‹ in Singapore, as ›Max‹ in ›Der Freischütz‹ at the Theater an der Wien and with the Wiener Symphoniker in Beethoven’s 9th Symphony.
