Born in Berlin, Mark Scheibe’s professional career has included stints among other things as a ballet master, theatre composer, producer of film music and choirmaster. He also felt equally at home as a composer with the Berliner Ensemble, the Bremer Theatre and the Maxim Gorki Theatre and as a co-presenter of the NDR EXTRA3 satire programme. As musical director of the RBB talkshow DICKES B he made a monthly TV appearance with the Babelsberger Film Orchestra for almost three years, and also regularly appears in his own show ›Berlin Revue‹ at Berlin’s Admiralspalast. Last year he made a stage performance in the show ›Wunderhorn‹ at the Schillertheater. He recently released his CD ›Haus aus Liebe‹. Once a month, Mark Scheibe comes to the GSO to work together with pupils on the ›Melody of Life‹ project.
