Debut with a classic

2nd Hansa Subscription II Concert

Works by Rota, Schönberg and Sibelius

She loves Mozart beyond all measure and makes no secret of her affection. No wonder, after all they share the same birthday. And the start of her musical career also took her to the city where Mozart’s family roots lie; namely Augsburg. She also has a special affinity with Salzburg, having studied there. In the meantime, however, the focal points of Sarah Christian’s life have shifted north: she is assistant to her professor Antje Weithaas in Berlin and from summer 2015 concertmaster with The Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen, with which she is performing solo for  he first time. Not with Mozart, but instead with the concert classic from the North, Jean Sibelius’ violin concerto. In Catalan-born Josep Pons, who currently conducts the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona, she has a conductor at  her side who can look back on a number of successful projects with The Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen.
