This versatile musician debuted as a violinist in 2022 with the Berlin Philharmoniker and will be appearing in 2023 with, among others, the Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra. Featured among the most recent highlights as a conductor are appearances with the Concertgebouworkest, the hr-Sinfonieorchester Frankfurt, the Orchestre de Chambre de Paris, the Scottish Chamber Orchestra and the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen, whose ›Artistic Best Friend‹ he has been since 2017.

Since 2022, Pekka Kuusisto has been Artistic Director of the Norwegian Chamber Orchestra and for the 2023/24 season, will also be the First Guest Conductor and Artistic Co-Director of the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra.

パトリツィア・コパチンスカヤ

Patricia Kopatchinskaja is known for her unlimited creative potential and her eclectic repertoire. With a combination of depth, brilliance and humour, her focus is always on getting to the heart of the music – be it with an extraordinary performance of a traditional violin classic or with a scenic project that she presents as an experimental performance dramatist. She is a »player with rare expressive energy and disarming informality«, writes the ›New York Times‹ about this exceptional, Moldovan-born musician and her boundary-breaking approach. Patricia Kopatchinskaja’s absolute priority is the music of the 20th and 21st centuries. She works with leading orchestras, conductors and festivals worldwide.

This season, Kopatchinskaja brings her versatility to innovative curated projects and residencies at London’s Southbank Centre, the Vienna Konzerthaus and the Philharmonie Essen. She is also an Associated Artist of the SWR Experimentalstudio, one of the most important international research centres in the field of electronic music. The 2023/24 season began for this violinist with a tour with the London Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Sir Antonio Pappano, concerts with Hannu Lintu and the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, Aziz Shokakimov and the Philharmonique de Strasbourg as well as the world premiere of Aureliano Cattaneo’s Violin Concerto and performances with the Ensemble Intercontemporain.
