Guidelines for your concert visit

2G plus at concerts

Since 10th January 2022, coronavirus alert level 4 has been effective in Bremen. This means that the so-called 2G plus rule will apply to your concert visit in the ›Glocke‹ and ›Kammer-Philharmonie‹.

In addition to your proof of full vaccination or recovery, you must also present a negative rapid antigen test result (no older than 24 hours) done at a recognized test centre or within the scope of a work-related testing concept. A negative PCR test (no older than 48 hours) is also permitted. An exemption from testing is made for those who have received a booster jab or their second vaccination or recovery within the past three months. In such cases, your vaccination or recovery certificate is sufficient. Please also be prepared to present a valid ID document.

Should the concerts have to be cancelled, which we currently do not foresee, you will of course receive a refund.

Award-winning excellence!

Opus Klassik for the Music Lab

What a fantastic accolade: the Music Lab of the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen’s Future Lab has been awarded the Opus Klassik 2021! Established during the pandemic, the online project was nominated for the coveted classical award in the category ›Special Award for Audience and Participation Projects‹, because what is special about the oversized Music Lab online orchestra is that whether with or without an instrument – everyone can join in and, together with the professional musicians from Bremen’s world-class orchestra, record a piece which is then published online as a gigantic split-screen video clip!

»An intensive time«

Going new ways

After 22 successful years as a partner and concertmaster with The Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen, Florian Donderer has decided to go new ways. In future, Donderer will concentrate on his role as first violinist of the Signum Quartet and set himself up as a freelance chamber musician, soloist and principal concertmaster, a qualification with which he has made a name for himself both nationally and internationally over the years at the concertmaster’s podium of the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie. He was thus instrumental in defining what has become one of the orchestra’s hallmarks – playing without a conductor. Donderer will maintain ties with the Kammerphilharmonie, however, and will accept future invitations to play with the orchestra. »I am leaving with a smile in one eye and a tear in the other. I’ll miss my fellow musicians and the intensive and career-defining time with the orchestra, but I’m also greatly looking forward to the tasks and challenges that await me going forward,« says Florian Donderer.

Guesting at the Proms

In September 2019, The Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen gave a guest performance at the legendary BBC Proms in the Royal Albert Hall! The performance, under Greek conductor Constantinos Carydis and featuring Greek soprano Danae Kontora, not only received enthusiastic praise and rapturous applause from the audience – ›the Prommers‹ – ; the magazine ›Opera today‹ described the concert as »a Michelin-starred feast for musical gourmands«. Here, we serve you a few visual highlights from London!

Kurier, Vienna

»… The Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen is without a doubt one of the most interesting ensembles around today.«
