interval

Letting ideas grow

Founded on their own initiative, the thoroughbred musicians of The Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen are carving new paths in their work and, at the same time, forging new links with their roots. With their experimental concert series ›interval‹, the orchestra’s members are also keeping their pioneering and founding spirit very much alive and kicking. With this series they are creating for themselves the freedom to improvise, to experiment with different art forms and to explore the realms of diversity and variety. Concerts are organized and performed by individual orchestra members, thereby enabling the musicians to implement their own ideas and at the same time giving audiences a glimpse into their individual artistic profiles.

Setting

A venue for artistic freedom

Convinced that music can only change people when they enter into a relationship with it, the orchestra members are striving to create a more intensive exchange with audiences during ›interval‹ concerts. The constantly changing venues at which these ›intervals‹ take place are also crucial to the success of these joint musical journeys. Since the Bremen Universum, ›interval‹ concerts have already taken place in a cinema, a theatre and in the events hall of the Waller Culture Workshop in Westend.
