Friendship forms a connection
Friendship to an orchestra whose music and work you appreciate. And friendship to like-minded people who share the same passion. Since its foundation, the not-for-profit Society of Friends of The Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen has grown to nearly 1,400 members. Together they enjoy unique concert experiences and memorable personal encounters with the musicians – whether at the annual concert performed exclusively for the Friends in Bremen or during a get-together at one of the orchestra’s touring engagements. With the money raised through membership fees, the Friends of The Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen support the orchestra’s commitment to youth development work, provide funding for children’s young people’s and family concerts and sponsor school workshops and a Teachers’ Academy as well as joint projects with the Bremen East Comprehensive School.
The Friends have also funded important new acquisitions to further the orchestra’s musical development, such as the purchase of a Steinway concert grand piano.
