Future Lab and Academy
Over ten years ago, the world-class orchestra moved into the premises of the Bremen East Comprehensive School (Gesamtschule Bremen-Ost or GSO) and what began as an experiment has since become a successful model for many similar schemes stretching far beyond the borders of its German home. In 2007, the school, located in a socially challenged neighbourhood, not only became home to a concert hall with outstanding acoustics, but also to the multiple award-winning Future Lab, with which The Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen sets completely new standards in music education.
The Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen is equally committed to promoting young talent with its Academy. On a two-year training programme, young, talented instrumentalists are given the grounding they need to master the artistic and many strategic challenges of being a professional musician in the 21st century. The academy members benefit from the skills and expertise of a world-class orchestra and a qualified team of external experts.
