Ulrike Rüben

Violoncello

Ulrike Rüben studied cello in Freiburg and Berlin. During her study days she played in the Young German Philharmonic and was a founding member of The Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen – which was initially exclusively a string ensemble known as the Chamber Orchestra of the Young German Philharmonic.

She completed her musical training with Baroque cello courses and gamba studies in Frankfurt. When not playing with the Kammerphilharmonie, Ulrike particularly enjoys performing on these two instruments together with other musicians.

Her hobby is also linked to music: she loves to dance tango, which is especially exciting when touring with The Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen – because tango starts late, long after the concerts of the Kammerphilharmonie have ended.
