Rebecca TillmannsViolin
Born in Frankfurt am Main in 2003, Rebecca Tillmanns began playing the violin at the age of six. She also completed her early studies and the first part of her Bachelor’s degree in the class of Ulrich Edelmann in Frankfurt. In 2023, she switched to Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media (HMTMH) to study under Elisabeth Kufferath, where she is currently continuing her Bachelor studies. Rebecca Tillmanns has also been tutored by Midori, Ingolf Turban, Michael Sanderling, Oliver Wille and Maria Egelhof, amongst others. Since 2024, the violinist has received a scholarship from the Studienstiftung des Deutschen Volkes (German Academic Scholarship Foundation).
As a keen orchestral musician, Rebecca Tillmanns gained early experiences in the National Youth Orchestra of Germany, played first violin in the Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester, was an academist in the NDR Radiophilharmonie during the 2025/26 season and was invited to perform with the Staatskapelle Dresden on tour in South Korea. Rebecca Tillmanns plays a 1699 Jacobs violin, loaned to her by the Deutsche Musikinstrumentenstiftung (German Musical Instrument Foundation).
