Lilli HermesOboe
Lilli Hermes was born in Lübeck in 2003. She began learning the violin before she turned five, later switching to the oboe at the age of 11. Up until 2020, she was taught by Cornelia Hemme and during her final academic year at the Institut für schulbegleitende Musikausbildung (ISMA) affiliated with the University of Music Lübeck (MHL), she was tutored by Johannes Brüggemann. Since the winter semester of 2021, she has been studying for her Bachelor’s degree under Kai Frömbgen at Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media (HMTMH).
Lilli Hermes gained her first experience in an orchestral setting with youth ensembles such as the Jugendsinfonieorchester Lübeck, the Landesjugendorchester Schleswig-Holstein and the Landesjugendensemble für Neue Musik Schleswig-Holstein. Since taking up her studies in Hanover, she has also had the opportunity to participate in various projects with professional orchestras, including the Nordwestdeutsche Philharmonie, the Philharmonie Südwestfalen and in collaborative projects with the NDR Radiophilharmonie. She has also participated in the Moritzburg Festival Orchestra and the Frenswegen International Summer Academy for Chamber Music. In the summer of 2025, she was a member of the Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival Orchester, playing under conductors such as Michael Sanderling and Christoph Eschenbach. She has received further musical guidance from Nick Deutsch, Ralph van Daal, Diethelm Jonas and others.
