Horn

Gréta Anna Déri began playing the horn in her hometown in Hungary at the age of 12. She continued her education in Budapest, before subsequently moving to Germany to study at Hamburg University of Music and Theatre. Since April 2024, she has been training with Szabolcs Zempléni at Berlin University of the Arts and regularly participates in masterclasses with Christian Dallmann, Raimund Zell, Johannes Hinterholzer and Frøydis Ree Wekre.

Gréta Anna Déri has gained orchestra experience, along with performances in prestigious concert halls such as the Berlin Philharmonie, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam and the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg, with the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin, the Kammerensemble der Staatskapelle Berlin, the Folkwang Kammerorchester Essen and in the context of the Concertgebouw Young Dutch Musicians series. She has also performed in chamber music ensembles, winning a number of prizes in international competitions, including 1st Prize at the Vienna Classical Music Competition in 2021, as well as 1st Prize and the title ›Absolute Winner‹ at the 14th International Interpretative Competition for Wind Instruments in Brno, Czech Republic. Since 2023, the horn player has been a permanent member of the Junge Deutsche Philharmonie, with whom she performs throughout Europe.
