The pianist and composer Hayato Sumino is one of the leading figures of a new generation of musicians who move effortlessly between genres and embrace total artistic freedom. With his innovative approach, he is redefining the art of piano performance and his technical brilliance captivates audiences worldwide in the most prestigious concert halls and alongside the most renowned orchestras. In April 2024, Hayato Sumino made a spectacular debut at the Royal Albert Hall with Gershwin’s ›Rhapsody in Blue‹ and appeared at the BBC Proms in August 2025. In November 2025, he became the first ever performer to give a classical concert at the K Arena Yokohama, one of Japan’s largest music venues with a capacity of 20,000. In the current season, Hayato Sumino is setting further milestones with major debuts and international tours including at the Beijing Music Festival with John Storgårds and the BBC Philharmonic. He will perform at Carnegie Hall with Marin Alsop and the Philadelphia Orchestra and with Petr Popelka and the Wiener Symphoniker at the Wiener Konzerthaus. In 2025 alone, Hayato Sumino received three prestigious awards: the Leonard Bernstein Prize from the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, as well as two Opus Klassik Awards in the categories ›Young Artist of the Year‹ and ›Live Performance of the Year‹. With this double honour, this pianist is the first artist in the history of the Opus Klassik Awards to win in two categories in the same year. In 2023, Hayato Sumino was included in Forbes Japan’s ›30 Under 30‹ list.

David Danzmayr is now in his fifth season as Music Director of the Oregon Symphony Orchestra. In addition, this conductor is also Music Director of the innovative ProMusica Chamber Orchestra, which is made up of musicians from across the United States. He also works regularly with the Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra which he led as principal conductor from 2016 to 2019. Among the highlights of his tenure were several European tours including concerts at the Musikverein Wien and the renowned New Year’s Concert at the Festspielhalle in Salzburg.

Danzmayr has already appeared as a guest conductor throughout North America. His most recent and forthcoming engagements include the symphony orchestras of Seattle, St Louis, Atlanta, Vancouver and Dallas, as well as the orchestras of Detroit, Baltimore, Houston and San Diego. In Europe, he maintains ties with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, the Bamberger Symphoniker, the Sinfonieorchester Basel and the Mozarteum Orchestra, as well as with the Iceland Symphony Orchestra. This conductor also works regularly with the Deutsche Kammer­philharmonie Bremen with whom he will undertake a summer festival tour in 2026.
