Aleksey Igudesman is a versatile artist, known as a violinist, composer, conductor, comedian, film-maker and entrepreneur. His concerts and shows combine creativity, humour and virtuosity. Igudesman loves to cross genre boundaries and combines classical skills with distinctive entertainment. After studying with Boris Kuschnir, he embarked on an international career and has worked with stars such as Hans Zimmer, John Malkovich and Roger Moore. His works have been performed worldwide by renowned soloists, ensembles and orchestras such as the New York Philharmonic and the Wiener Symphoniker.
Together with pianist Hyung-ki Joo, he founded the duo Igudesman & Joo, which is appreciated for its humour and musical versatility. Together they have performed with artists such as Gidon Kremer and pop stars like Billy Joel. He also tours regularly with his play The Music Critic, in which John Malkovich plays the lead role. In 2024 he founded The Limitless Orchestra. Igudesman has also celebrated success as a film composer and director. His film Noseland, a humorous homage to the world of classical music, won the award for most entertaining documentary at the Doc Miami International Film Festival.
