Stephanie Appelhans

Violin

Stephanie Appelhans was winner of the national music competition ›Jugend Musiziert‹. She studied the violin at the Musikhochschule Essen, at the University of the Arts in Berlin and at the Guildhall School in London. She also studied Psychology at the Freie Universität Berlin. She gained professional orchestral experience with the HR Sinfonie Orchester and the Deutsche Sinfonie Orchester Berlin before joining The Deutsche Kammer­philharmonie Bremen as an Academy Student. She was Concert Master with the Junge Deutsche Philharmonie and also performed with them as soloist.

In 2019 this young academy graduate secured herself the permanent position of first Concert Master of the Philharmonisches Orchester Erfurt after a year’s probation. Stephanie Appelhans also passed her Concert Exam with Friedmann Eichhorn at the Hochschule Franz Listz in Weimar. This versatile artist is also active as the Chair of von ›El sonido de Balanyá – ein Dorf erklingt e. V.‹ and supports a youth orchestra in Guatemala. Stephanie Appelhans regularly returns to Bremen as a guest where she accompanies The Deutsche Kammer­philharmonie Bremen on tour.
