›Melody of Life‹

Mark Scheibe and The Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen Make Music with Pupils at the Gesamtschule Bremen-Ost Immediately after The Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen moved into its new rehearsal rooms at the Gesamtschule Bremen-Ost, an intensive exchange began between the pupils and the orchestra. In addition to numerous visits to rehearsals and other activities, the first major joint project has already been launched - the ›Melody of Life‹. The well-known musician and composer Mark Scheibe comes to the Gesamtschule for several days each month to work with the schoolchildren with the assistance of orchestra members. Following the soap-opera principle, the young people bring ideas, thoughts, and feeling from their everyday life, which they develop musically and poetically with Mark Scheibe's support. The results are presented in regular concerts. The next show will be on 06 March at 8:00 pm in the large rehearsal hall of the orchestra's new space at the Gesamtschule Bremen-Ost. The ›Melody of Life‹ is varied and multifaceted. It includes songs by Mark Scheibe, melodies composed together with the pupils, and 'classics', which are performed by members of The Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen. Naturally, the most important thing is the cooperation, so the collaborative compositions are also performed with the pupils together with band and orchestra.
