 | German Federal President Christian Wulff dedicated a concert by German Federal President Christian Wulff has dedicated a concert by The Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen to the people of Italy as a gift marking the 150th anniversary of Italian unification on Thursday, 7 July 2011. The site of this spectacular musical event was the historically significant and symbolic Capitoline Hill in Rome. Beethoven's Seventh Symphony has been on the program for the concert, which was attended by Italian President Giorgio Napolitano, representatives of the Italian government, and 600 other guests. Nordwestradio broadcasted the concert live in collaboration with Italy's classical station RAI 3. Jörg-Dieter Kogel and Friederike Westerhaus hosted a round table discussion before the concert with guests Michael Gerdts, the German ambassador to Italy, F. C.
