The Percussion Series Continues! After a great success last year, our solo timpanist, Stefan Rapp, has again organized two unusual new programs for you. Concertgoers were enthusiastic about last year's programs. Every concert is different, and each one leaves a lasting impression. Sunday, 13 July 2008, 7:30 pm, Church of our Lady A Church and Its Windows »Since I have been in Bremen, the windows of the Church of Our Lady have made a great impression on me; they communicate a very special power. That is why I would like to devote a concert of music to the church windows. So that they ­ located in the heart of Bremen ­ raise our awareness again.« Stefan Rapp Contemporary composers from several countries (Japan, USA, Denmark, etc.) are on the program. Percussion and brass instruments provide a special brilliance.

Sa., 13 December 2008, 7:30 pm, Kulturzentrum Schlachthof »Straight Talk« ­ Getting Down to the Rhythm Now let's have some straight talk . . . or playing? Inspired by the alternative art center ›Tacheles‹ (the Yiddish word for »straight talk«) in Berlin, the idea for a concert with revolutionary concepts and uncompromising music was conceived. Photo art, lounge grooves, theater music, and classics of the percussion literature are combined in a mixture of fascinating and emotional music with cool grooves. Slavik Stakhov, Stefan Rapp Percussion Klaus Hügl Synthesizer Daniel Sepec Violin Stefan Preyer Bass Guests are the public health specialist Annelie Keil and photo artist Julia Baier.
