KonTakt

In March 2008 The Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen was a partner of the project ›KonTakt,‹ which took place for the first time in Syke. KonTakt is an integrative movement theater with people of different generations, different ways of life and living conditions - with and without disabilities. They all met and came closer to each other at the initiative of the society ›Anders? Na und! e.V.‹ (Different? So what!) during this project under the artistic direction of choreographer Alexander Hauer. Both the open rehearsal and performance before a sold-out house at the Olympic Hall in Syke were a complete success and a great personal achievement for everyone involved.

Conducted by Alexander Shelley, The Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen played Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov's ›Sheherazade‹ and the ›3 Intermezzi for Sheherazade‹ by the contemporary composer Thorsten Encke.

The Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen is pleased to be able to expand its extensive education program with KonTakt.

More information on the project is available at www.kon-takt.info.
