| | Heinrich Schiff can look back on a career as conductor and cellist spanning several decades. Since 1986 he has been much in demand as guest conductor and artistic director of numerous international orchestras. From 1990 to 1992 Heinrich Schiff was principal guest conductor of The Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen, thus making a substantial contribution to the orchestra's development as a world-class ensemble. He played Dvo?ák's Cello Concerto with the Berlin Philharmonic under Sir Simon Rattle at the 2008 Salzburg Festival. He will conduct the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra and the Orchestre de Paris this season. |  |
