| | Over and above their orchestral activities, the wind soloists of the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen devote themselves to chamber music repertoire for winds ranging from the baroque to contemporary music. In addition to the diverse classical repertoire for wind octet, they play virtuoso wind arrangements by Andreas N. Tarkmann, such as Mussorgsky's 'Pictures at an Exhibition' and the fantastic wind version of Mendelssohn's 'A Midsummer Night's Dream'. The ensemble has appeared at venues such as London's Queen Elizabeth Hall, the Berlin Philharmonie, at the Lucerne International Music Festival, the Rheingau Music Festival and in Japan. Several award-winning CDs document the special position of the ensemble. | |
