| What was your most memorable experience in the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen? I found our Japanese tours with Daniel and Paavo particularly wonderful because, for one thing, in each case we had impressive tour programs, and I quickly feel comfortable in this country, despite jet lag, climate change, etc. A special experience for me, however, was when I was generously given the opportunity to play a solo accompanied by my ›own‹ orchestra at ›Summer in Lesmona‹ - only a tiny appearance, but I was very pleased about it. Which of the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen's CDs do you like best, and why? Our Louriè CD with Gidon Kremer, which unfortunately is no longer available, and the first of our Beethoven recordings (3 and 8) - which is now even an award winner. What do you do when you are not making music? Teach, pursue my interest in wine, seek relaxation. Since november 2007 I am owner of the wine shop ›Flaschenweise‹. | ![]() Beate Weis, violin | ||||||
| What is your motivation for doing educational projects? The desire to be able to pass on something that is close to my heart; the rich experience of its impact on small children, for example, and the feeling of doing something that I am good at. It is particularly great to see young listeners at our concerts who were attracted, either by a personal invitation, preparation in their classes, or our concert introductions. | |||||||
