| Annette Dasch sang the role of Donna Anna at the Salzburg Festival in 2008, thus appearing for the second consecutive year in the festival's opening production, following her highly acclaimed Armida in 2007. After winning three prestigious singing competitions in 2000, the young soprano launched a meteoric career, with engagements at internationally renowned opera houses and concert halls as well as highly praised recordings.
